Biography

Artie Brennan is an award winning actor and comedian from NYC. He has been seen on Netflix, Showtime, Nat Geo, ABC, CBS, and Comedy Central Artie studied drama at NYU, Iona College, and with Joanna Beckson at her private studio. He honed his improv & sketch comedy at Second City (Chicago), and The Upright Citizen's Brigade (UCB) under founders Matt Walsh (Veep) and Ian Roberts (Key & Peele). He won Best Actor for the dark thriller "In For Business" at the Best Shorts Competition and was nominated for Best Actor at The Maverick Movie Awards. Artie won Best Actor at The Daftas (2022) for his lead role in the parody "Behind The House Of Gucci", and was part of the cast that won Best Cast for "Daytrip Massacre" at The Alternative Film Festival. Artie wrote and developed the live NYC show with Zene Coley, "A2Z: Black & White", into a tv pilot, that earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the NYCTV Fest and The Hip Hop Film Festival. His script was also nominated at the Top Indie Film Awards. Artie has appeared on the cover of the NY Post and IndieWire for his lead role in the Factory 25 produced sitcom "Dad Day". He has shot national commercials & campaigns for ESPN (with Scott Van Pelt), Good Morning America (with Shaquille O'Neal), Optimum cable, and Kiehl's. Artie is the co-creator and co-star of "Super Crazy Funtime Variety Game Show Hour", a TimeOut NY and AMNY critic's pick for best comedy shows in NYC. For the role of Francis Merryweather, he was nominated for best actor in an Off-Broadway show (2021) by Broadway World. They have won several awards and have been featured on Funny Or Die. Artie was nominated for his role in the Off-Broadway show "With A Little Help...It's John Belushi"..
