Czechoslovakian Zbynek Brynych directs this psychological drama set in World War II Terezin ghetto. Their hopes and dreams unfold against the perpetual threat of deportation (or worse) by the Nazis. Based on the novel "Night and Hope" by Arnost Lustig.
